Shadi Azizi is an urbanist, urban designer, and architect whose works address a multitude of social issues including the empowerment of minority groups in the urban context. She holds a master of architecture from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), 2001, and a Ph.D. in Architecture from IAU Science and Research University, 2006 Tehran. He is also an architecture faculty member at IAU Central Tehran University.

She is a co-founder and the vice-chairman of NESHA (Established 2001). She has accomplished over 25 projects in her career. She is an award-winning woman architect and urbanist and her research work has been featured in several periodicals and peer-reviewed journals.
